🎙 THE HOG POD

Mason Molina was one of the hottest commodities in the transfer portal in the offseason. With dozens of schools interested Arkansas made him a pitch he couldn't refuse. We sat down with the Texas Tech transfer to talk about his baseball journey and how he hopes to be the missing piece the Razorbacks need to go the distance.

Peyton Stovall is a name Arkansas fans were familiar with before he ever reached campus. He was a top high school prospect and projected to be a first-round pick in the MLB draft. Looking at a 7-figure signing bonus, he decided to forego it all and be a Razorback. Since, Stovall has had a career of highs and lows—from leading the team to Omaha to battling through multiple injuries, he's been through it all. But, the adversity has never once made him regret his decision to become a Hog. Peyton Stovall joins the Hog Pod to discuss it all.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 How The West Was Won. The Diamond Hogs are the final SEC Western Division Champions! The Razorbacks walked into Blue Bell Park on Friday with one mission: win the West. They needed one win over the Aggies to secure the title, and they got it with a 6-3 score. It’s the ninth division title for the Razorbacks. Hudson White hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the eighth winning to secure the game. Mason Molina emerged from the bullpen to throw three perfect innings. The Hogs concluded the series on Saturday, but fell 14-4.

🔺 That’s A Wrap. The Razorback softball season came to an end on Saturday as the Hogs lost to Arizona and Villanova in the Fayetteville Regional. The weekend started with a 3-2 comeback win over SEMO on Friday night. The comeback magic faded on Saturday as the Hogs could only compile three hits against Arizona in the 2-1 loss. They went on to play Villanova in the elimination game where they fell 7-2. Cylie Halvorson and Rylin Hedgecock finished their Razorback careers with a home run a piece in that game.

🔺 Moving On. The women’s golf team moves on to the final round of stroke play as one of the top 15 teams at the NCAA Championships. The Razorbacks are in ninth-place at 13-over. They’re just one shot behind Oregon and Auburn, who are tied for seventh. Maria José Marin is in third-place individually at 5-under. They play in the final round of stroke play today.

🔺 Singled Out. Razorback women’s tennis player Carolina Gomez Alonso will play in the NCAA Singles Championships today at 11 a.m. She’s ranked No. 34 and will face No. 57 Gala Mesochoritou of Michigan in the Round of 64. This is Carolina’s second-straight appearance at the championships. She earned First Team All-SEC honors earlier this season after going 13-7 at the No. 1 position.
