In the second-part of this three-part series, hear from new offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino. Step inside a practice as he takes the mic and hear how he prepares players to get better inside his system. Plus, a newly tooled offensive line works with both Eric Mateos & head coach Sam Pittman to change the narrative coming out of last season. ๐บ Ticket To Paris. Four Razorbacks booked their tickets to Paris for the 2024 Paris Olympics! Womenโs track & field member Rachel Glenn took the silver medal in the high jump at the U.S. Olympic Trials. She cleared 1.94m on her third attempt. Alum Taliyah Brooks placed third in the heptathlon with a career-best 6,408 points.
On the menโs side of things, current Razorback Chris Bailey ran a career-best 44.42 to take bronze in the 400m. Arkansas alum Jarrion Lawson had to jump four spots from seventh-place to a top-three position in the long jump. His final attempt measuring 8.18 pushed him to a bronze medal.
More Razorbacks will look to punch their tickets to Paris tomorrow.
๐บ Viva Mรฉxico! Two Razorback womenโs golf legends will be playing for Mexico in the Paris Olympics! Maria Fassi is one of the most decorated Razorback golfers after winning an individual NCAA Championship, SEC Golfer of the Year, the ANNIKA Award, and the Honda Sports Award. This will be her second-straight Olympics. Gaby Lopez will be making her third-straight trip to the Olympics. She finished runner-up with Arkansas in the 2015 NCAA Championship.
๐บ Team Effort. The Razorback swim & dive team earned CSCAA Scholar All-America honors for success in the classroom and the pool! Their 3.43 team GPA proved their commitment to academics. Congratulations, Razorbacks!
๐บ Houston, We Got Her. Razorback softball has signed the 2023 Big 12 Freshman of the Year, Kailey Wyckoff! The former Texas Tech Red Raider hit .407 with 12 doubles, seven home runs, and 35 RBI last season. She earned 2024 First-Team All-Big 12 accolades along with 2023 Freshman All-American and Second-Team All-Big 12 honors. She comes from Katy, Texas where she won a 6A Texas State Championship.
Two incoming freshman also attended Katy High School โ Ashtyn Reichardt and Cam Harrison.
