📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Road Hogs. The Diamond Hogs picked up another SEC series win on the road at No. 20 South Carolina! The weekend got started with Hagen Smith and Gabe Gaeckle combing for 16 strikeouts in Friday’s 2-1 win. It was a classic pitcher’s duel until South Carolina scored in the fifth, but Arkansas punched back to take the lead. Saturday brought a doubleheader that was split between the two teams. South Carolina took game one, but the Razorbacks bounced back to win the nightcap. Arkansas commanded a five-run seventh inning to take a seven-run advantage. They won the game 9-6.

🔺 Hogs Roll On. Count ‘em! The Razorback softball team picked up their fourth-straight ranked SEC series win! The Hogs took down 15th-ranked Alabama on Friday and Sunday. One thing about Alabama and Arkansas softball: they will go into extra innings and that’s what happened on Friday night. It was a classic pitcher’s duel between Morgan Leinstock and Alabama’s Kayla Beaver, but Mo came out on top. Lauren Camenzind hit an RBI single in the ninth inning to walk off the game, 1-0. Arkansas fell on Saturday, but bounced back in a big way and produced their first-ever run-rule win against the Tide. Nia Carter tied her season-high with three hits, including two RBI and two runs scored. Bri Ellis hit her 14th homer of the year in the first inning to set the tone and the Razorbacks went up 7-0 in the first. They went on to win 8-0 in five innings.

🔺 Steven Special. Men’s track & field runner Steven McElroy had a solid weekend at the John McDonnell Invitational. He ran a season-best 400m time of 45.49 to place second and move to No. 11 on the Arkansas all-time list. He also ran the third leg of the 4×100m relay as the Razorbacks set a meet record of 39.06. William Spencer won the 4oom hurdles and Grant Williams was behind him in fourth. Jack Williams won the 3,000m steeplechase.

🔺 No Record Was Safe. The Razorback women’s track & field team had multiple wins at the John McDonnell Invitational! Arkansas alum Shafiqua Maloney won the 400m with a 50.94 time which is a meet record and qualifies her for the Paris Olympics. She also won the 1,500m with alum Katie McCune and current Razorback Mia Cochran and Mary Ellen Eudaly right behind her. Rosey Effiong broke the meet record and won the 200m with alum Jada Baylark behind her. The 4×100m relay crew set a new meet record with their winning performance.
