Locker room celebrations are back! Enjoy exclusive access with Head Coach Sam Pittman as he addresses his team after a huge win over Western Carolina in the first game of the 2023 season.

Arkansas got off to an exciting start to the 2023 season with a dominant 56-13 victory over Western Carolina. The Hogs forced five turnovers on defense, the most they’ve forced in a single game since 2020, and KJ Jefferson commanded an efficient attack through the air. QB1 completed 18 of 23 attempts for 246 yards and three touchdowns.

The first touchdown came early as wideout Jaedon Wilson sprinted 65 yards to pay dirt.

The dominant first period continued with safety Hudson Clark’s first interception of the young season. It was the first of four interceptions Arkansas hauled in on the day.

Already up multiple scores in the second half, KJ’s third passing touchdown of the afternoon ended up in the hands of Andrew Armstrong, the first TD reception for Andrew in a Razorback jersey.

The cherry on top was the Razorbacks’ fifth forced turnover. Freshman linebacker Brad Spence caught his first-career interception and took it 85 yards to the house.

56 points is the highest-scoring opener for Arkansas since 2018 when the Razorbacks won 55-20 over Eastern Illinois. Check out all the highlights and Coach Pittman’s analysis of the win in this week’s edition of Razorback Football with Sam Pittman.
