🔺 Winning Ways. 16th-ranked Arkansas volleyball began SEC play this weekend with a 3-0 sweep over South Carolina, and capped it off with a 3-1 victory over Texas A&M.

In their sweep over the Gamecocks, three Razorbacks had double-doubles in Jill Gillen, Taylor Head and Hannah Hogue. Jill led the Volley Hogs in kills with 15, while Taylor held the advantage in digs with 18. Hannah contributed 35 assists over the three sets and tallied 13 digs. Arkansas held South Carolina to zero service aces and a .018 hit percentage, the lowest opponent hitting percentage for the Hogs all season.

On Sunday, the Volley Hogs won their 10th-straight match thanks to another brilliant outing from Jill. She led the way with 19 kills and 11 digs for a double-double, her second in as many matches, and hit .457, her second-highest hitting percentage of the season and best in the month of September. Arkansas finished the day with a .346 hitting percentage, its seventh match at a clip over .300 on the season.

The Razorbacks are now 12-2 on the year and host a top-25 battle against Auburn this week. Catch the opening serve Wednesday night at 7pm on SEC Network.

🔺 Ball Never Lies. The No. 11 Razorback soccer team pulled out a 1-0 win on the road over Texas A&M to remain the only undefeated SEC team in league play. Freshman Kennedy Ball scored her first-career goal with fewer than 20 minutes remaining, and fellow freshman Phoebe Carver notched her second shutout in as many appearances. The win is Arkansas’ sixth straight victory over the Aggies, and head coach Colby Hale’s 150th career win.

🔺 Week Of Work. A total of five Arkansas tennis players concluded play at the PTT 25K Fayetteville Sunday with wins in their final matches. Gerard Planelles Ripoll, Benedikt Emesz, and Connor Smillie claimed victories as well as Indianna Spink and Morgan Cross. Gerard and Indianna each took home second-place finishes.

🔺 Strike A Match. Arkansas men’s golf and the rest of the Southeastern Conference will be in Alabama this week for the third annual SEC Match Play – hosted by Jerry Pate – at Birmingham Country Club. The Hogs were winners of the inaugural SEC Match Play in 2021. Click here to find out which golfers will represent the Razorbacks this week.
