🎙️ HOG POD: FELIX JONES

Few Razorback football players through the years were as exciting to watch as Felix Jones. Alongside Darren McFadden, he formed one of the greatest backfields in college football history. And though it was McFadden who got the spotlight as a two-time Heisman finalist, the duo was better together. In this episode of the Hog Pod, we take a look back with Jones and find out what made him such a special player, and what made those Razorback teams so great.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Rolling Along. Arkansas volleyball is now 6-0 on the road to start the year after another successful weekend trip. The 16th-ranked Volley Hogs dropped just one set in three matches at the St. John’s Tournament in New York on Friday and Saturday.

Congratulations are in store for graduate outside hitter Maggie Cartwright, who racked up double-digit kills against Buffalo and registered the 1,000th of her career, the 19th Razorback in program history to achieve the feat. Maggie continued her successful weekend with 12 kills against Bryant and was named the tournament MVP.

Now 10-2 on the year, the Razorbacks will return to Barnhill this weekend with two matches to begin SEC play against South Carolina and Texas A&M.

🔺 Brace For Victory. The 11th-ranked Arkansas soccer team moved to 5-2-1 on the season following wins over Tennessee and Grand Canyon over the weekend. Bea Franklin scored twice against the Volunteers in what was the Hogs’ first SEC road-opening victory since 2016. Back in Fayetteville, the Razorbacks edged out a victory at the buzzer in front of the third-largest crowd in program history thanks to a game-winner from Bella Field with just 18 seconds remaining to complete a perfect weekend. Arkansas is back on the pitch Thursday evening to host Alabama.

🔺 Bri Bombs. Bogle Park was the sight of offensive firepower as Arkansas softball notched a 7-1 fall ball victory against McClennan Community College. Recent transfer Bri Ellis gave the home crowd a taste of her talents as he homered along with Rylin Hedgecock to kick off their fall slate.

🔺 Serving Everyday. A full week of tennis is in store for Arkansas as the men’s and women’s team will compete in the PTT 25K Fayetteville. Seven Razorbacks will be featured in the women’s 20-player main draw, while the men’s draw includes nine Razorbacks.

🔺 Still At The Top. Razorback track stars Wayne Pinnock and Jaydon Hibbert remain 2023 world leaders in their respective events following Sunday’s competition at the Diamond League Final. Wayne’s mark of 28-0.25 (8.54) in the long jump was the overall leading distance during the recent World Championships, and Jaydon’s distance of 58-7.5 (17.87) in the triple from achieved in Budapest has yet to be eclipsed.
