🔺 Ole Col’ Beer. GoatLab Brewery has teamed up with Arkansas Edge and the Arkansas Razorbacks to bring you TUSK, a new craft beer. GoatLab Brewery is a local Arkansas business rooted in fun family values and German brewing traditions. The pilsner is available on tap and in carryout packs at GoatLab’s taproom in Lowell. It’ll roll out statewide over the next few weeks leading up to kickoff. Fans can enjoy the beverage at War Memorial Stadium for the season opener.
🔺 On The Defense. Razorback soccer defender Kelsey Oyler has been named a Defender to Watch by the United Soccer Coaches. She transferred to Arkansas from Gonzaga, where she was an All-American last fall. She led the WCC in assists and owns the Gonzaga record for career assists with 21 and single-season assists with 12. The Razorbacks will take on Kansas State in an exhibition match tonight at 7 p.m.
🔺 Dynamic Duo. Two Razorback women’s golfers are moving on to the quarterfinals of the USGA U.S. Women’s Amateur! Kendall Todd and Maria José Marin won both of their matches yesterday to advance. Quarterfinals will stream on Peacock today from 2-5 p.m.
🔺 Fighting Through Adversity. Former Razorback Sasha Goforth has had far from a simple college basketball career. The Fayetteville native transferred to Arkansas from Oregon State after her freshman season. She had a stunning sophomore year, ranking fourth in a single season at Arkansas with 66 blocks. After struggling with gastroparesis, a stomach condition, the McDonald’s All-American had to step away from basketball for the 2022-23 season. She returned to the court last season, but took another step back after seven games. She has hung up her jersey and grabbed a whistle as she is Coach Neighbors’ newest graduate assistant!
