🔺 Blessed Right Foot. We’re now just 29 days from the start of Arkansas’ football season. 2023 will be Cam Little’s third year place-kicking for the Razorbacks, and his career has been impressive thus far. He’s made 33 of his 40 field goals and all 96 extra points since starting as a freshman in 2021, and his work off the field has been even better. Every one of his made field goals last year benefitted the Down Syndrome Connection of Northwest Arkansas, so it’s no surprise to see him back on the Wuerffel Trophy watch list for the upcoming season. Be sure to check out Cam’s recent appearance on the Razorback Daily here.
🔺 Lost City Hoops. Arkansas men’s basketball is heading for the tropics again this November as they’ll compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament with several other top programs. The Razorbacks’ first matchup of the tourney has been revealed for Nov. 22. Click here to find out who the Hogs will face.
🔺 Best Scores For Last. Arizona Women’s Amateur Championship concluded Thursday afternoon with incoming Razorback freshman and AZ native Abbey Schutte taking second place. Her final score of 1-under-par was one of two scores to clear par, and she saved her best golf for last with a 32 on the back nine of Thursday’s final round.
🔺 Distance Planning. Cross country season for Arkansas begins in exactly four weeks as the first meet will be held on September 1 at the Cowboy Preview hosted by Oklahoma State.
11 athletes are returning for the Razorback women, headlined by Isabel Van Camp, Sydney Thorvaldson, and Mia Cochran, who placed fourth, 11th and 12th in the SEC meet last fall. The Razorback men return 10 athletes from last year’s squad with seven having competed in the SEC Championships last fall. Patrick Kiprop, who placed fifth in the conference meet, leads the Arkansas squad, which includes Elias Schreml and Myles Richter, who finished 10th and 12th a year ago.
