📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Year 4 Underway. Preseason camp for Arkansas football is getting underway as the Hogs will practice 25 times leading up to their season-opener against Western Carolina. Hear Head Coach Sam Pittman’s thoughts on the team as they prepare to start practice, and other highlights from his first presser of camp.

🔺 Scramblin’ Man. We’re now just 30 days (1 MONTH) from the start of Arkansas’ football season. And when he’s not throwing the ball downfield, KJ Jefferson is just as dangerous to take off and run with it. He posted a career-high 259 yards on 30 scramble runs last year, per Pro Football Focus. That’s an average of over eight yards per scramble! Hear what has impressed offensive coordinator Dan Enos the most about QB1 in Clay Henry’s preview of the quarterback room.

🔺 Schutte Low. Through two rounds of the Arizona Women’s Amateur Championship, incoming Arkansas freshman Abbey Schutte is in second place in a field of 35 golfers. At 2-under-par, she’s just two shots back from the leader with one round remaining.

🔺 Setting The Pieces. No. 8 Arkansas soccer is two weeks away from kicking the season off against Central Arkansas. The Razorbacks are a preseason top-10 team for the second-straight year, but their goals are much greater for 2023. Check out the highlights from their first preseason practice here.

🔺 Growing Staff. Arkansas men’s basketball has added two assistants to Eric Musselman’s coaching staff.

  • Tommy Abdenour has been named special assistant to the head coach. Abdenour spent the past four seasons as an assistant coach at Lindenwood. This past season – the Lions’ first as NCAA Division I members, Lindenwood led the OVC in free-throw percentage (75.6) and rank second in the OVC in three-point percentage (39.1).

  • Ryan Witthoff was tabbed the coordinator of creative content. Witthoff will be in charge of overseeing and producing content for the men’s basketball social media platforms. With his background in graphic design, photography and videography, he will combine digital content with the program’s recruiting strategies.
