Airing it out. With three outside receivers standing 6-3 or taller, the Hogs have the size to out-jump any secondary they face. But they were all chasing the 6-0 Bryce Stephens during Spring ball according to offensive coordinator Dan Enos.

🔺 V.I.Ps. That stands for Very Important Players, of course. Arkansas football has plenty on its roster, and two more Razorbacks have been named to watch lists for some of college football’s most prestigious awards.

  • Defensive back Dwight McGlothern was named to the preseason watch list for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, which is presented to the best defensive player in college football. One of 94 defensive standouts on this year’s watch list, Dwight led the Razorbacks and ranked second in the SEC with four interceptions in 2022 and matched his career-high with 52 tackles while starting all 13 games.

  • Center Beaux Limmer has landed on the preseason watch list for the Outland Trophy, an honor awarded to the nation’s most outstanding interior lineman. Last season, Beaux totaled a team-leading 983 offensive snaps, gave up just four sacks, and was penalized just five times all year at right guard. He’s vying to become the third Razorback in history to win the award.

🔺 OctoHogs. For the second-straight year, Arkansas Soccer will begin the season ranked No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches poll. The preseason ranking marks the fourth straight season the Hogs have been ranked in the top-15. Arkansas will kick off the regular season on August 17 against Arkansas State at Razorback Field.

🔺 Down Up And Under. We’re now just 31 days from the start of Arkansas’ football season. When No. 31 Max Fletcher takes the field, Arkansas’ defense is almost guaranteed to be set up nicely. The Razorbacks’ punter played in nine games during his first campaign with the Razorbacks last season. The Aussie booted three punts of 50+ yards, including a career-best 51 yards, and had 14 of his 38 punts fair caught and 14 inside the 20-yard line.

🔺 Early Hardware. Incoming Arkansas freshman Shawnti Jackson was named the 2022-23 USA Today High School Sports Awards Girls Track and Field Athlete of Year, the crown jewel of the largest high school athletic recognition program in the country. Shawnti, who broke the national high school record in the 100m this Summer, headlines the Razorback incoming recruiting class for the 2023-24 season in Chris Johnson’s first year as head coach of the Arkansas program.

🔺 Wisdom Earned. Arkansas men’s basketball returns key veterans such as Devo Davis and Jalen Graham, but they’re not the only seasoned players set to take the floor this year. Head Coach Eric Musselman speaks on the vast experience his latest roster possess, how that impacts practice and preparation, and recaps how the past few weeks went for his team in his Summer wrap-up presser.
