🎥 GROWING UP GROVEY

“Growing Up Grovey” is a three-part series (exclusively on Hogs+) about football, family, and enduring one of the most baffling diseases known to man. With the same grace and determination he displayed on the football field, former Arkansas quarterback Quinn Grovey was able to return unconditional love to the mom who had once taught her little boy how to love others and live life to its fullest.

🔺 Now Taking The Field... No. 8 Arkansas soccer begins its season tonight at Razorback Field against Arkansas State. The Hogs are coming off a second-straight trip to the Elite 8, and hungry for more as the preseason No. 1 team in the SEC.

Arkansas is once again led by Anna Podojil, the most decorated player in program history, who is also one of 34 players to be named a forward to watch by United Soccer Coaches on Wednesday. Anna was named first-team All-SEC for the fourth time in her career and earned her fourth United Soccer Coaches All-America honor in 2022.

Anna and the Hogs kick things off against Arkansas State at 6pm tonight on SEC Network Plus.

🔺 Every Rep Matters. At the start of Fall Camp, co-defensive coordinator Marcus Woodson and the Arkansas football staff relayed two things: stack good days, and every rep has to be a competitive rep. Competing every play has been emphasized by Woodson in his first camp with the Hogs. Hear more about his impressions of the Arkansas secondary in this presser.

🔺 Mr. Grand. We’re now 16 days from the start of the 2023 Arkansas football season. Former No. 16 Treylon Burks had a season to remember in 2021, posting 66 catches for 1104 yards and 11 touchdowns and earning First-Team All-SEC honors. He became the fourth Razorback pass catcher in Arkansas history to post a 1,000 receiving yard season and first since 2012, and nearly 40%(!) of Arkansas’ passing yardage ended up in his hands that year.

🔺 Man Of Spirit. Jerel Stewart has been named the Razorbacks’ head cheerleading coach. Stewart has spent the last six years as the head cheerleading coach at Miami (OH), where he elevated the program to be nationally ranked, and boasts a total of 15 years of cheerleading experience. 🔺 I Got 99 Problems. But being ranked ain’t one. 

Arkansas volleyball will enter the season ranked for the first time since 1999! The Hogs were ranked 25th in the country by the American Volleyball Coaches Association earlier this week, one of just three SEC programs in the top 25.

The Razorbacks will have their only preseason exhibition this Saturday against Missouri State at Alma High School.
