🔺 Great Dane. We’re now just 51 days from the start of Arkansas’ football season. It wasn’t too long ago that Denmark native Hjalte Froholdt wore the No. 51 jersey for the Hogs. A three-year starter, Froholdt started out as a defensive tackle before making the switch to offensive line. He would log just under 2,500 snaps for the Razorbacks from 2016-2018 and earned Second-Team All-SEC honors as a senior. He would go on to become a fourth-round draft pick by the New England Patriots in 2019. Hear his story in this early episode of the Hog Pod.

🔺 Stingers Out. Former Razorback Nick Smith Jr. showed out Tuesday evening in NBA Summer League action as he dropped 33 points on 13-20 shooting from the field to go with four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block. The No. 27 overall pick finished with a +8 plus/minus rating after playing nearly 29 minutes for the Charlotte Hornets during an exhibition against the Portland Trail Blazers.

🔺 Setting The Standard. Arkansas volleyball has been picked to finish fifth in the preseason SEC poll. The Hogs’ 101 votes casted from the conference’s coaches comes behind Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee and Georgia to round out the top five. It is the fifth time in head coach Jason Watson’s eight seasons that the Razorbacks have been picked to finish in the top five of the conference.
