📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Sunny Holiday. Pack your bags this November, because Arkansas women’s basketball will play in the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off over Thanksgiving. The second annual event is set for Thursday, Nov. 23 to Saturday, Nov. 25 at Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, FL.

Arkansas will play in the Shell Division, which features a traditional bracket format with Boston College, Marquette and Wisconsin. The Hogs will square off against Wisconsin on Friday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. CT and will play either Marquette or Boston College in the winner or consolation bracket on Nov. 25. Click here for more information of the holiday tourney!

🔺 Final Draft. The MLB Draft concluded Tuesday afternoon, and a couple more Diamond Hogs had their names called. Cody Adhock was taken 378th overall by the Cincinnati Reds, joining third-round pick Hunter Hollan as the newest pitchers for the Redlegs. A few rounds later, Caleb Cali was selected with the 487th overall pick by the Seattle Mariners. Arkansas ended up with seven selections in total, and now boasts 259 overall draft picks in program history.

🔺 Leveling Up. Long before he was drafted by the New York Yankees this week, Jared Wegner was a key slugger for Creighton, becoming one of the Blue Jays’ best while also battling injuries. He watched some of the best teams in the country compete right next door at the College World Series, so he decided to join one of them in Arkansas. Hear Wegner’s story from Little League prodigy, to future Major Leaguer on this week’s episode of the Hog Pod with Bo Mattingly.

🔺 Proven In Provo. We’re now just 52 days from the start of Arkansas’ football season. The Hogs put up 52 points last season in their first-ever game at BYU to lock in a much needed win. KJ Jefferson had arguably his greatest game in a Razorback uniform, throwing for 367 yards and five touchdowns while completing just under 75% of his attempts against the Cougars. 36 of those yards came from the best play he made all season, according to Hogs+ senior contributor Clay Henry. Check out Henry’s top five list here, and relive the play along with every other key moment from that win in this episode of The Follow.

🔺 Air Jordan. After two seasons as a volunteer, the Arkansas volleyball program has elevated Jordan Neal to assistant coach, rounding out the team’s staff for the 2023 season. Neal will primarily work on serving and will see increased responsibilities with the team’s setters, two areas in which the Razorbacks have been strong in for the past several years. With his guidance, Arkansas has finished in the top half of the SEC in service aces per set in both of his seasons with the team and came in first in 2021 with 1.61 aces per set, also good for the fourth-best single season average in program history.
