🔺 Raise Your Cup. For the third-consecutive year, Arkansas secured a top-15 national finish in the Learfield Directors’ Cup Standings. Arkansas finished No. 13 with 1,031.5 points and ranked first among programs with 19 sports or fewer.

The Razorbacks tallied two NCAA championships, recorded 11 top-10 national finishes and won five Southeastern Conference championships in the 2022-23 athletics season. In addition, Arkansas won a bowl game for the second-straight season, advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament for the third-consecutive year and won its first NCAA Volleyball Tournament match in 18 years.

Arkansas was one of eight Southeastern Conference programs in the top 25 of the final standings.

🔺 America’s Finest. It’s an All-American sweep for Arkansas pitcher Hagen Smith, as the southpaw has now been named an All-American by all seven major selectors after receiving second-team recognition from D1Baseball. Hagen recently earned a spot on the 31-man Collegiate National Team roster that will represent Team USA in a pair of five-game series against Chinese Taipei and Japan starting today. He is the 22nd Razorback since 1979 to play for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team.

🔺 Going The Distance. Razorback track and field has officially added distance runner Kirami Yego as a transfer from South Alabama. and will join the Razorbacks for the 2023-24 season. Kirami, a native of Kenya, earned a cross country All-America honor in 2022 and collected 11 Sun Belt titles during his time with the Jaguars. Most recently, he placed 11th in the NCAA 10,000m a few weeks ago. During the outdoor season he established career best times in four consecutive races.

🔺 Hometown Hero. We’re now 64 days from the start of Arkansas’ football season. Fayetteville’s own Brandon Allen etched himself into the record books eight years ago when he wrapped up his Razorback career with 64 career touchdown passes, becoming the program’s all-time leader. Allen is now entering his eighth year in the NFL, and his first with the San Francisco 49ers.

🔺 HE LIFTS WEIGHTS. This week, we’re counting down KJ Jefferson’s top 5 plays from the 2022 season. The No. 1 play should be no surprise to any Arkansas fan.

Late in the second quarter against BYU, QB1 escaped not one, not two, but three would-be sackers in the pocket before escaping and finding tight end Trey Knox down the right sideline. And thus, KJ’s viral sideline moment was born.
