🏀 MAGICAL MEMORIES

Bringing the mayhem. Arkansas took down another No. 1 seed in March thanks to a total team effort. Reacquaint yourself with some of the biggest names from that game, with the help of Hogs+ of course.

Sit down with Jordan Walsh as he delves into becoming a five-star prospect, and then a two-way menace for the Hogs.

Learn Ricky Council IV’s story on transferring to Arkansas and developing into not just the team’s leading scorer, but the SEC’s leading scorer leading up to the Hogs’ NCAA Tournament run.

Get an all-access pass to watch the Razorbacks take down one seeded Kansas in historic fashion.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Work Hard, Play Hard. In his one season with the Hogs, Nick Smith Jr. brought energy and excitement on and off the court. And when he was on his road to recovery, it was all work and no nonsense. It’s the same work ethic he’ll bring to the NBA this year. Hear more about what Nick brings to the professional stage in this one-on-one interview with For The Win.

🔺 Keeping It In House. The USTFCCCA National Field Athlete of the Year award might as well live in Fayetteville now. Jaydon Hibbert will share the 2023 title this year after completing a rare freshman campaign in sweeping SEC and NCAA triple jump titles. It’s the second straight year an Arkansas athlete has won the award, with Ayden Owens-Delerme being honored in 2022. Jaydon’s associate head coach, Travis Geopfert, was also named the Men’s Outdoor National Assistant Coach of the Year, his fourth national coaching award. The accolades continue with Arkansas associate head coach (and soon to be head coach) Chris Johnson being named the 2023 USTFCCCA Women’s Outdoor National Assistant Coach of the Year. This is the fifth time he’s earned the award in his career, and second for the outdoor season.

🔺 Four In The Books. Arkansas softball continues to reload its pitching staff with the addition of Reis Beuerlein, a transfer from Mississippi State with three years of eligibility remaining. During her freshman year in 2023, Reis made a team-high 26 appearances with nine starts for the Bulldogs. The right-hander pitched to a 3.13 ERA, a 5-4 record and fanned 69 batters across 76.0 innings of work. Her 17 relief appearances tied for the team-lead and ranked ninth in the SEC. Reis joins Nia Carter, Bri Ellis and Morgan Leinstock as the newest Hogs.

🔺 Most Successful Leap. No one for Arkansas softball made a bigger jump when it mattered than Rylin Hedgecock, who was named D1Softball’s Most Improved Player earlier this week. A 2023 NFCA First Team All-American (DP/UTL), Rylin was explosive at the plate in her breakout redshirt junior season on The Hill. Slashing .335/.774/.459 with 21 home runs, 55 hits, 62 RBI, 41 runs scored and 127 total bases.

🔺 The Rocket Shuffle. We’re now 73 days from the start of Arkansas’ football season. 73 yards is how far Rocket Sanders took a shovel pass from KJ Jefferson against Missouri State last season, culminating in the longest passing play for Arkansas during the 2022 season. Rocket finished with an astounding 241 yards from scrimmage in the 38-27 come-from-behind win.
