📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Brilliant Bri. Arkansas softball has added its third transfer of the offseason in Bri Ellis, who will be immediately eligible to play in 2024 with two years of eligibility remaining. Bri spent her first two years not just playing for Auburn, but dominating for the Tigers. She brings a career slash line of .288/.685/.398 along with 96 RBI, 87 hits and 34 home runs. She was named the 2022 SEC Freshman of the Year, and is in the program’s all-time top 10 in fielding percentage.

🔺 Need Some Syrup With That. We’re now 74 days from the start of Arkansas’ football season. The Hogs have a new No. 74 this year in freshman offensive lineman Luke Brown. A native of Paris (Tennessee), Luke was consensus four-star prospect according to 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN, and we think we know why. As a senior for Henry County High School, registered 127 pancake blocks on the offensive line. Here’s to serving up more cakes for Hogs, Luke.

🔺 Cardinal Career Move. Arkansas gymnastics staff continues to get stronger as the Gymbacks add All-American and Pac-12 champion Kyla Bryant as an assistant coach. From 2018 to 2022, Kyla was a star for Stanford gymnastics. She finished her run in Palo Alto with 61 career event titles, five All-Pac 12 honors (three on floor, two all-around), and as the 2021 Pac-12 floor champion. She was a two-time AAI Award nominee, known as the Heisman Trophy of NCAA women’s gymnastics, and was a finalist in 2022. Kyla now becomes the Gymbacks’ third assistant along with Chris Brooks and Kyla Ross. Check out her impressive accomplishments off the mat here.

🔺 How do you sum up a legendary career? For Lance Harter, the stats tell the story: 33 years, seven NCAA Championships and 45 SEC Championships. But his impact on the Razorback program — and its student-athletes — goes beyond the numbers. It’s about the relationships he’s built, how he’s treated others, and how he’s represented the University of Arkansas. As an incredible career ends, Lance Harter’s name now adorns the track at the Randal Tyson Track Center, ensuring that his legacy will live on at Arkansas for years to come. Hear Coach Carter’s interview with Bo Mattingly on the latest episode of the Hog Pod.

🔺 Straight Shooter. As a coach, Eric Musselman is one of the best in the game. As a recruiter, he prioritizes honesty. As a student of the game, very few in the business have absorbed more knowledge and unique experiences than the head of Arkansas men’s basketball. Learn more about Coach Muss’ methodology of player development in this interview.
