📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Eight Is Great. 2024 will be an exciting year for Arkansas football. The Razorbacks’ eight-game SEC slate has been announced, featuring home games against Ole Miss, Tennessee, LSU in the Battle for the Golden Boot, and Texas in the Longhorns’ first year in the conference. Road games will include trips to Auburn, Mississippi State and Missouri for the Battle Line Rivalry. The Hogs will also meet Texas A&M at AT&T Stadium for the Southwest Classic. Check out the full list of opponents here.

🔺 New Team, Greater Heights. We’re now 79 days from the start of Arkansas’ football season. The second-tallest player for the Hogs wears the No. 79 jersey and goes by Tommy Varhall. The 6-8 Overland Park, KS native started his college career at Maryland and transferred back to the midwest earlier this year, participating in spring practice with his new offensive line. Arkansas will look to one of their five preferred walk-ons this year for depth up front.

🔺 Green Room Bound. The NBA Draft is just one week away, and Arkansas point guard Anthony Black is projected to go as high as sixth overall to the Orlando Magic. He was recently mocked eighth overall to the Washington Wizards by ESPN’s Jeremy Woo, and a report has him and Nick Smith Jr. as invitees to attend the draft.

🔺 Craft-Smith-ship. The honors keeping in for Arkansas pitcher Hagen Smith, as the southpaw has been named an All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. It’s Hagen’s second first-team All-America honor since the season’s end as he also named a first-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper earlier this month. He’s the first Razorback starting pitcher to earn first-team praise from the NCBWA since Blaine Knight in 2018. Kevin Kopps was named a first-team All-American by the NCBWA as a relief pitcher in 2021.
