🔺 Stars & Strikes. Arkansas pitchers Hagen Smith and Brady Tygart have been invited to the 2023 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp, as both will look to be the latest Razorbacks to suit up for the American squad. The training camp features 56 of the premier non-draft eligible college players for a four-game Stars vs. Stripes intrasquad series from June 25-28. USA Baseball will name a final 26-man Collegiate National Team roster after the training camp that will represent the United States in a friendship series against Chinese Taipei and Japan from June 30-July 12.

🔺 Down Goes No. 1. We’re now 81 days from the start of Arkansas’ football season. 1981 was a successful season for the Razorbacks, and the pinnacle came on October 17. Arkansas welcomed No. 1 ranked Texas into town and proceeded to force seven turnovers in a 42-11 blowout victory. It remains the Razorbacks’ second-biggest win over the Longhorns in the rivalry’s history.

🔺 Hitting Machine. Arkansas head coach Courtney Deifel has added veteran outfielder Nia Carter as a graduate transfer from the University of Iowa. Nia finished her Iowa career with the highest batting average in program history (.415). She was named NFCA First Team All-Midwest Region, First Team All-Big Ten and Softball America Third Team All-America this past season, and will be immediately eligible for the Razorbacks with one year of eligibility remaining. Read up on Nia’s incredible profile here.

🔺 Sign Here Please. Arkansas gymnastics head coach Jordyn Wieber is sticking around in Fayetteville. Coach Weiber has signed a contract extension that will keep her with the GymBacks through the 2028 season. In her fourth season as head coach in 2023, Wieber guided the GymBacks to a 19th consecutive NCAA Gymnastics regional appearance. The team set a new regional team score record of 197.275, and a new regional floor record of 49.500. The team finished the year ranked 17th in the country, maintaining the program’s 18-year streak of finishing in the top 20 nationally.
