📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Rolling To The Top. For the first time all season, Arkansas baseball has cracked the top 3 of the polls. The Diamond Hogs are the No. 3 team in the official Division 1 top-25, along with three other major outlets. Arkansas had fluctuated between the five and seven spot for the past several weeks before making a statement over the weekend in Starkville by sweeping Mississippi State. It was the fourth different SEC opponent Arkansas swept this season, which is the most for the program in a single season since 2018.

The spotlight this past week belonged to Kendall Diggs, who batted .350 with a .750 slugging percentage in Arkansas’ four games during the week. Kendall hit two home runs and drove in a team-leading 10 RBI in the Hogs’ sweep of the Bulldogs, finishing the series 6-for-11 with five runs scored.

🔺 Keeping Pace. The Arkansas women’s golf team is in a great spot after shooting a collective 297 on the first day of the NCAA Palm Beach Gardens Regional. The Hogs sit in third out of 12 teams, and are just one shot behind second-place South Florida. Julia Gregg put together the best score of the morning for the Hogs with a 1-over 73.

🔺 Ballin’ In OKC. Former Razorback basketball star Jaylin Williams was one of three second-round picks to receive votes for this year’s NBA All-Rookie Team. Williams, who finished the 2022-23 season averaging 5.9 points, and 4.9 rebounds per game for the Oklahoma City Thunder, was also one of nine rookies to receive any first-team votes. His three-point field goal percentage of 40.7% ranked third among all rookies.

🔺 Star In The Circle. For the second year in a row, Arkansas softball had a player selected in the Athletes Unlimited Softball College Draft. Reigning SEC Pitcher of the Year and NFCA Second Team All-American Chenise Delce was picked seventh overall in the 14-player draft in the midst of another phenomenal season. She was also picked ninth overall in the Women’s Professional Fastpitch (WPF) draft back in April by her hometown team, the Oklahoma City Spark. Hear Chenise’s story in the latest episode of the Hog Pod.
