📈 STOCK UP

🔺 He’s Done It Again! The baseball world needs to put some respect on Kendall Diggs’ name.

With Arkansas and Texas A&M tied at 5-5 in the bottom of the 11th inning, the personification of clutch drove a 2-1 fastball over the right field wall and hit the first walk off home run the Hogs have ever had in the SEC Tournament. It’s also the first walk off hit in the tournament since 2019, and the second for Kendall this year. How does he continue to shine in these moments? Find out in this week’s episode of the Hog Pod, unlocked for all to watch on HogsPlus.com!

A shoutout is deserved for Jared Wegner as well. In what was just his fourth game back from injury, Jared stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded, facing a 4-1 deficit in the top of the seventh inning. The graduate transfer from Creighton eyed a fastball right down the heart of the plate and sent it well beyond the left field wall, putting the Hogs in position to walk it off just four inning later.

The 6-5 win over the Aggies will have the Razorbacks facing LSU today at 4:30pm on SEC Network.

🔺 Heating Up. Four Arkansas track athletes punched their ticket to Austin for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Wayne Pinnock and Carey McLeod came in first and third, respectively, in the long jump, while Jordan West and Rojé Stona were top-5 finishers in the shot put. Several more Razorbacks qualified for quarterfinals action on Friday, including Bowerman watch list extraordinaire Ayden Owens-Delerme, who won his heat in the 400m hurdles.

🔺 Pon De Relay. The No. 5 Arkansas women’s track team will have their turn at the NCAA West prelims today out in Sacramento, CA. A total of 30 Razorbacks comprises the 35 entries in 14 of the 21 events that will be contested. Among that group, Arkansas has 13 entries who are seeded among the top 12 heading into the meet along with both relays. Top seeds in the NCAA West include Britton Wilson, the current world leader in the 400m and 400m hurdles, as well as Ackera Nugent in the 100m hurdles, the event that will begin the day at 8pm CT.

🔺 Court Arrival. Arkansas men’s tennis is getting reinforcements next fall as Wake Forest transfer Božo Barun is officially signed up for the 2023-24 season. The Croatian native comes to Arkansas after spending his freshman year with the Wake Forest Deacons. In his rookie season, Božo amassed a 16-7 singles record and a 6-6 doubles record. He holds an ATP career-high ranking of No. 1216 in singles and No. 929 in doubles.

🔺 Hog (Seven) Heaven. Athlon’s college football season preview has not one, not two, not three… okay let’s speed this up—SEVEN Razorbacks earning preseason honors. Raheim Sanders and Beaux Limmer each earned second and third team, respectively, All-America status. They also were tabbed for All-SEC recognition along with KJ Jefferson, Dwight McGlothern, Brady Latham, Chris Paul Jr., and Cam Little.
