🔺 Back On Top. 20 conference wins later, and No. 2 Arkansas baseball has earned a share of the 2023 SEC regular season title. The Diamond Hogs got the win they needed against Vanderbilt on Thursday, and the loss they needed from Florida on Friday to secure its fourth regular-season SEC championship. It’s also the second SEC title for the Diamond Hogs in the last three seasons, and the fourth SEC West title since 2018.

Arkansas is the No. 2 seed in the SEC Tournament and will play its first game on Wednesday, May 24, at The Hoover Met. Their opponent will be the winner of Tennessee and Texas A&M.

🔺 Bermuda Air. The long jump title at the USATF Bermuda Grand Prix belongs to Arkansas alum LaQuan Nairn, who jumped 8.32 meters on Sunday in Flora Duff Stadium. The all-conditions best by Nairn, whose previous personal best in the event was 8.22, moved him ahead of Steffin McCarter, a Texas alum, and Will Williams, a Texas A&M alum. They were the only the leading three jumpers able to take a sixth attempt, with which Nairn added a foot from his opening-round leap.

🔺 First-Time Campers. The 2021 connection between KJ Jefferson and Treylon Burks carried Arkansas to its first bowl game in six years, and the duo reunited for a great cause over the weekend. KJ and Burks joined forces with the help of Flexworks to host a football camp in Farmington, prioritizing that all children, regardless of financial status, had an equal opportunity to attend. Read why Burks wanted to come back to Arkansas and provide kids an opportunity he never had as a kid.

🔺 XL. By winning the first two games of the Fayetteville Regional, Arkansas softball notched its third consecutive 40-win season in 2023. The Hogs first achieved a run-rule victory over Harvard on Friday, and then shutout Notre Dame, 5-0, on Saturday to secure their 40th victory of the season. It’s the sixth time Arkansas has achieved such a feat, and the fourth under head coach Courtney Deifel.

🔺 Double Singles. Senior Kelly Keller and freshman Carolina Gomez Alonso of Arkansas women’s tennis are set to compete in the 2023 NCAA Singles Championships today at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, FL. Despite the difference in seniority, this if the first NCAA Singles Championship appearance for both Razorbacks. Kelly is the No. 57 player in the latest ITA Singles Rankings, and Carolina is No. 41 as well as the SEC Freshman of the Year. Click here to keep track of their matches this morning.
