Enjoy the story of the 1985 Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team, a squad that not only made a deep College World Series run but also set a new standard for the program’s future success. Through interviews with former head coach Norm DeBriyn and key players, the story highlights how this team was groundbreaking, fielding five Black starters in Omaha, a rare and significant moment in college baseball history. Their legacy continues to influence Razorback baseball today.

🔺 Let’s Get It Started. It’s game day! Razorback baseball begins NCAA Fayetteville Regional today as they host North Dakota State at 2 p.m. on ESPN+. Coach Dave Van Horn announced Aiden Jimenez will get the start on the mound today. The winner of this game will play the winner of Kansas vs. Creighton tomorrow at 8 p.m. The losers will play tomorrow at 2 p.m.

🔺 Tick Tock. Three Razorback football game times are here! The 2025 football season will begin on August 30 at 3:15 p.m. as the Razorbacks host Alabama A&M on SEC Network. They’ll head to Little Rock the following weekend to take on Arkansas State at 4 p.m. on ESPN+/SEC Network+. SEC play will begin at Ole Miss on September 13 at 6 or 6:45 p.m. on ESPN or SEC Network.

🔺 Punching Tickets. Four Razorbacks punched their tickets to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Wednesday! Uroy Ryan, Juriad Hughes Jr., and Henry Kiner qualified in the men’s long jump. Timothy Chesondin claimed the final spot in the men’s 10,000m.
Three Razorbacks from the women’s team advanced to the NCAA Championship! Paityn Noe and Sydney Thorvaldson advanced in the 10,000m, while Funminiyi Olajide advanced in the long jump.

🔺 Rockin’ Rookies. Razorback softball’s Ella McDowell and Payton Burnham earned First Team Freshman All-America honors from D1Softball! Arkansas and Oklahoma were the only two programs to land multiple student-athletes on the first team.
