Host Bo Mattingly sits down with Razorback baseball assistant coach Bobby Wernes for an unforgettable conversation that spans his playing days, coaching career, and the life-changing moments that brought him to Arkansas. Wernes shares the incredible story of how a random encounter at a Christian sports camp in Branson led to an offer from legendary coach Dave Van Horn — a moment he credits as divine intervention. He opens up about the misery of junior college baseball, nearly quitting the sport altogether, and how perseverance reshaped his future. The conversation dives into his transition from standout third baseman for the Hogs (2014–2015) to minor league pro, and eventually to a coaching role that now has him manning third base once again — this time from the coach’s box. Wernes also discusses the intensity of coaching at Arkansas, the quirks of sending runners home, and the overwhelming pride he feels working under Van Horn.

🔺 One More Time. The regular season finale is here for Razorback baseball! Arkansas is hosting No. 17 Tennessee for a three-game series, beginning tonight at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receiver a baseball card pack.

🔺 Catching Eyes. Women’s golf head coach Shauna Taylor has been named to the DI Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Watch List! The Razorbacks will compete at the NCAA Championship this weekend.

🔺 No Surprise Here. Razorback softball’s Bri Ellis has been named a Top 10 Finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award! She becomes the second Razorback in program history to be named a Top 10 Finalist for the award, joining Danielle Gibson in 2022. Ellis is batting .475 with 26 home runs, 72 RBI, 145 total bases, 58 walks, and 61 runs scored.

🔺 Family Affair. Razorback gymnastics has signed Morgan Price, a six-time national champion and three-time All-American. Morgan, the younger sister of Razorback Frankie Price, has had a successful career at Fisk University, winning six WCGNIC titles and becoming the first HBCU gymnast to score a Perfect 10. She holds a 9.900+ career high on every event.
