📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Shutdown City. A weekend sweep for Razorback softball wouldn’t have been possible without LHP Hannah Camenzind. The Valley, NE native went 2-0 against the Bulldogs with an ERA of 0.00. It doesn’t matter how many zeros you add onto that, the number is the same. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

The SEC had an easy choice in naming its Freshman of the Week. Did we mention it was Hannah’s first start?

In Saturday’s 11-0 win, she allowed just four hits in a complete-game shutout. Her work out of the bullpen on Sunday helped the Hogs maintain a lead they wouldn’t surrender.

Hannah leads Arkansas with a 1.68 ERA in 25 innings pitched this season.

🔺 Right Back To It. No. 5 Arkansas baseball is back on the diamond tomorrow evening with a road series against Ole Miss. The Rebels are 16-11 on the year, but just 1-8 since beginning SEC play. Here’s a look at some players to watch for the opposition.

  • The Rebels have four starters batting over .300 with at least 100 at-bats in 27 games. OF Kemp Alderman leads the team in home runs (11), RBI (39), and slugging percentage (.708).

  • OF Ethan Groff leads Ole Miss in stolen bases (10) and gets on base nearly 50% of time he steps to the plate.

  • C Calvin Harris (not the musician) is batting .389 in conference play, far and away the highest average on the team. His slugging percentage (.639) and total bases (23) are also SEC-play highs for the Rebels.

🔺 First In Line. Former Arkansas linebacker Drew Sanders is still holding strong as the consensus No. 1 player at his position in the upcoming NFL Draft. The transfer from Alabama shined during his lone season in Fayetteville, and NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has him staying in the midwest in his latest mock draft. Click here to see where Sanders lands in the first round.

🔺 Gunning For The Jacket. Tomorrow, two Razorbacks will compete in golf’s most prestigious tournament. Current Arkansas golfer Mateo Fernandez de Oliviera and former Razorback Taylor Moore will be playing in the Masters. The former became the second-ever Razorback to qualify by winning the Latin America Amatuer Championship back in January, and the latter is coming off his first-career PGA Tour win at the Valspar Championship.

🔺 Thank You Ricky. After spending one season in Fayetteville, Arkansas guard Ricky Council IV is moving on by declaring for the upcoming NBA Draft. Ricky is projected to go off the board sometime in Round 2.

Arkansas’ run to a third-straight Sweet 16 doesn’t happen without Ricky’s impeccable poise under pressure. He averaged a team-high 18.7 points per game in the NCAA Tournament, and made 29 of his 32 free throw attempts.

He went out on top, and all of us on the Hill wish him the best at the next level. Hear Ricky’s story in this episode of the Hog Pod.
