Razorback Brew 4/25: Mrs. 300

Today, we're celebrating another historic win for Coach Deifel.

Good morning. And congrats to Arkansas softball coach Courtney Deifel for another milestone victory. The Razorbacks’ 35th win on the season was Coach Deifel’s 300th of her illustrious career. We’ll break down the victory and more as we call the Hogs from back home.

Now, what’s all been mixed into today’s Brew?

🎤 TUESDAYS WITH TERA

Unfinished business. Arkansas forward Trevon Brazile was on the rise when his season was cut short by an ACL injury that required surgery. The thought of playing again in Bud Walton Arena keeps the talented Razorback working hard to come back even stronger.

Trevon sits down with Tera Talmadge to discuss the recovery process and why he ultimately decided to return to Arkansas for another year in this week’s episode of Tuesdays With Tera.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Mrs. 300. No. 12 Arkansas softball defeated Western Kentucky 7-0 Monday night to end cap off their Kentucky road trip in style. The Hogs scored five of their runs in the fourth inning alone to secure win No. 35 on the year, and 18th with Chenise Delce on the mound. The victory is a historic one for head coach Courtney Deifel, as it was her 300th overall career win.

The fourth-inning explosion was kicked off by Kacie Hoffmann’s three-run home run, which extended her current hit streak to four games. Cylie Halverson drove in the fifth and final run of the inning, which also extended her own hit streak to five games. Kacie and Cylie will look to stay hot at the plate when No. 4 Tennessee comes to Bogle Park this weekend.

🔺 Bearing The Storm. No. 7 Arkansas baseball looks to bounce back from a tough weekend with a midweek road game against Missouri State. Riding the hot streak of Caleb Cali would help the Diamond Hogs get back in the win column. Caleb led the Razorbacks in nearly every major offensive category last week, slashing a team-leading .563/.556/1.000 with two home runs and seven RBI over four games. He now has the most home runs (5) homers and RBI (17) RBI for Arkansas in SEC play. First pitch tonight is at 6:30pm on ESPN Plus.

🔺 Here At Last. As with so many, Tavian Josenberger has long dreamt of playing baseball on the biggest stage. But what makes his story unique is that his dream didn’t end just because he didn’t get to be a Razorback right out of the gate. And it’s given him some added perspective now that he’s the Razorbacks’ leadoff hitter. Hear his story in this week’s episode of the Hog Pod with Bo Mattingly.

🔺 Driving The Bus. Star commits Baye Fall and Layden Blocker headline what is already a promising recruiting class for Arkansas men’s basketball. The Razorbacks have a consensus top-25 class with Baye and Layden in the fold, as both were ranked inside ESPN’s top 30 recruit rankings. Arkansas is currently ranked eighth in ESPN’s way-too-early top 25 rankings.
