🥎 WALK IT OFF

No lead is safe when Arkansas is at the plate. Razorback softball hosted one of the best teams in the country last weekend and sent them home with a memorable loss to end the series.

Get an inside look at Arkansas' weekend series against Georgia. Hear from Head Coach Courtney Deifel, and Cylie Halvorson, who hit a walk-off home run against the Bulldogs on Saturday. Plus, see Razorback legend Danielle Gibson’s return to Bogle Park as an assistant for the Bulldogs.

See how the Razorbacks overcame adversity to end the weekend on a high note in this softball edition of The Follow.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Spring Blooms Hope. Arkansas football is back inside Razorback Stadium tomorrow afternoon for the annual Spring Game. Head Coach Sam Pittman’s team will scrimmage against each other as both sides of the ball will get valuable practice reps under new coordinators. Get set for the pads coming on with all of three of the Hogs+ Spring Football shows.

🔺 Going For XXL. No. 11 Arkansas softball will look to eclipse 30 wins on the season this weekend during a three-game series against UAB. It’s a feat skipper Courtney Deifel has accomplished in the last five full seasons, not counting the shortened COVID year of 2020. The Hogs are 11-2 when hosting non-conference opponents in Bogle Park this season.

The action inside Bogle begins at 6:30pm on SEC Network Plus.

🔺 Curtain Calls. The phenomenal career of Norah Flatley came to a worthy end last night at the NCAA Championships. Norah, competing as an individual, represented Arkansas gymnastics well and closed her collegiate run with a 9.9375 in her final routine. Freshman Lauren Williams also closed out her season in style, scoring a 9.825 in her first championship vault appearance.

🔺 Return Service. One player from each Arkansas tennis team made their respective SEC Tennis Community Service Teams. Sophomore Jake Sweeney made the squad for his continued focus towards spreading the game by volunteering with Center Court Tennis, a program designed to teach tennis to kids with disabilities. Senior Claire Slaughter has given back to the community through a number of different ways, including working with the Salvation Army, Support the Girls, and several other endeavors.

The guys are hosting Alabama and Tennessee this weekend while the gals travel to Mizzou to close out their regular season.

🔺 Rocky Top Of The Inning. The long ball Hogs are back on the diamond tonight to begin a three-game series against reigning SEC champion Tennessee. Arkansas baseball hasn’t lost a home series to Tennessee since 1996, but these Vols are riding hot. No. 16 Tennessee has won its last two games, outscoring opponents 28-4 in the process. One of the opponents was No. 2 Florida.

The Volunteers better bring extra baseballs, because the Razorbacks are hitting everything out of Baum-Walker Stadium nowadays. Wednesday’s game against Little Rock was the 29th-straight that Arkansas has hit a dinger.

Catch first pitch at 7pm on SEC Network.
