🎙️ THE HOG POD

Before Maria Jose Marin was a winner at Augusta, she was a guest on The Hog Pod!

She exploded onto the collegiate golf scene during her freshman season at Arkansas—from setting a 54-hole record during her debut outing, to being ranked the No. 1 women's college golfer in the country. The Columbia native is somewhat of a golf prodigy. She picked up her first golf club at the age of 3 and was competing internationally by the time she was 8.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Majo’s Masterclass. Razorback women’s golfer Maria José Marin won the 2026 Augusta National Women’s Amateur with a tournament record-low score of 14-under par. She overcame a four-shot deficit in the final round, capitalizing on Astersik Talley’s collapse and securing the victory with a birdie on the 16th hole. Marin’s win grants her invitations to several major tournaments and exemptions for the next five Augusta National Women’s Amateurs.

🔺 Punching Tickets. The ninth-ranked Gymbacks are headed to the NCAA Championship in Fort Worth! The Hogs scored 197.45 to place second at the NCAA Lexington Regional, behind No. 1 Oklahoma. This is the 10th time in program history that Arkansas has made nationals.

🔺 Running Point. Arkansas freshman Darius Acuff Jr. won the 2026 Bob Cousy Award, becoming the first Razorback to win the award and the second player coached by John Calipari to be honored. Acuff led Arkansas to a successful season, earning numerous accolades, including SEC Player of the Year and SEC Tournament MVP.

🔺 Series Secured. No. 6 Arkansas softball took two from Auburn over the weekend! They earned their 20th run-rule win of the season on Saturday, defeating the Tigers 10-0 as Robyn Herron threw a five-inning shutout. The Hogs shut out the Tigers again on Sunday, 4-0, behind a complete-game shutout from Payton Burnham. They’ll look for the series sweep tonight at 6 p.m. on SEC Network.
