📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Pressing On. The ninth-ranked Arkansas men’s golf team leads the Cabo Collegiate after 36 holes of play.

The Hogs shot a combined 6-under par Monday thanks to three under-par rounds from Jacob Skov Olsen, John Daly II, and Thomas Curry. Jacob is 7-under for the tournament and is tied for second on the individual leaderboard.

The final 18 holes will be played today as Arkansas looks to hold its one-shot lead over sixth-ranked Arizona State.

🔺 Who Else But Maria? The sixth-ranked Arkansas women’s golf team is currently tied for seventh among the 17-team field at the Darius Rucker Invitational. Maria José Marin leads the Hogs at 1-under and is tied for 15th on the individual leaderboard. Maria was also tabbed to the 2023-24 ANNIKA Award Spring Watch List on Monday, which makes her one of 15 collegiate golfers in the country up for consideration as the Player of the Year in women’s collegiate golf.

🔺 In-State of Affairs. The Razorbacks’ first in-state showdown of the season is on deck as the second-ranked Diamond Hogs host UCA this afternoon at 3pm on SEC Network Plus. Arkansas is 16-2 all-time against in-state opponents, including a 4-0 overall record against the Bears since 1960. LHP Colin Fisher will take the mound today with his 2-1 record and perfect 0.00 ERA.

🔺 Constant Presence. The Arkansas women’s basketball team will play as the 10th seed in the SEC Tournament against seventh seed Auburn on Thursday, March 7. The two teams will tipoff at 5pm from the Bon Secours Wellness Center in Greenville, South Carolina on the SEC Network. The winner will play No. 2 seed LSU on Friday, March 8 at 5pm. Arkansas defeated Auburn in the teams’ lone meeting on Feb. 4 in Fayetteville, 74-72. In that contest, Samara Spencer was one of four Razorbacks who finished with at least 10 points. Samara sat down with Hogs+ host Tera Talmadge in the latest episode of the Hog Pod.

🔺 Mort2U. Chris Mortensen had only one speed and it was 100 mph wonderful. It was that way until he passed Sunday at the age of 72. No one did all 72 years – the last two decades in Benton and Washington County — better than Mort.

Mort was a reminder every time on the way you should conduct your business, how you raise a family and just in general the way a man should treat his fellow man.
