The Diamond Hogs began SEC play with a series sweep of Missouri. On Saturday, the pitching duo of Brady Tygart and Will McEntire held the Tigers to zero runs and only one hit.

🔺 Diving Right In. The NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships begin today in Athens, Georgia with three Razorbacks competing in seven total events this week.

Bella Cothern will swim in the 50 Freestyle Thursday and 100 Freeestyle on Saturday as well as the 100 Fly Friday. Alessia Ferraguti is in the pool for the 100 Breast on Friday and 200 Breast on Saturday. To round things out, Betsy Wizard will compete in the 100 and 200 butterfly with the 100 butterfly taking place Friday and the 200 on Saturday.

🔺 Rookie and the Vet. Junior first baseman Bri Ellis and freshman catcher Kennedy Miller of Arkansas softball hauled in weekly honors from the SEC Tuesday. Bri was named SEC Player of the Week for the second weekend in a row after dominating at the plate in her first series against her former team in Auburn, while Kennedy earned her first SEC Freshman of the Week accolade for putting up a .545/1.091/.545 slash line in her SEC debut and performance in Monday’s win over Texas A&M-Commerce.

🔺 Leap of Destiny. Razorback softball hosts its first SEC home series of the season this weekend, which means promotion games are back on the menu! 🔺 Always Be Striving. Arkansas alum Hunter Woodhall is among 30 athletes named to Team USA for the 2024 World Para Athletics Championships, which will be held in Kobe, Japan, May 17-25.

Woodhall broke his own 100m T62 Americas record while competing at the U.S. Paralympics Track & Field National Championships this past weekend at Hilmer Lodge Stadium on the Mt. San Antonio College campus. Producing a time of 11.00 seconds (2.0 wind) bettered the Americas record of 11.04 set by none other than Woodhall himself in 2021.
