🔺 Tourney Time. Razorback men’s basketball begins SEC Tournament play today! They’ll take on 16-seed South Carolina at noon on the SEC Network. The Hogs and the Gamecocks played less that 15 days ago in Columbia, and Arkansas is looking for some revenge. The winner will play 8-seed Ole Miss tomorrow at noon.
🔺 Moving On. Razorback women’s basketball head coach Mike Neighbors has stepped down from his role with the Hogs. He resigned after eight seasons as Head Hog. He compiled a record of 148-114 with six winning seasons.
“As I shared in my introductory press conference on April 4, 2017, the opportunity to coach the Hogs fulfilled a lifelong dream. I also acknowledged that there would be a time when that dream would end, and until then, I pledged to do my best to make my family, my team and my home state of Arkansas proud. One day would have been an honor! Yet, I’ve had the privilege of leading our program for 2,898 days.”
🔺 Baums Away. Razorback baseball took down UCA 9-2 in Baum Walker Stadium’s first night game of the season! Brent Iredale, Kuhio Aloy, and Cam Kozeal each blasted multi-run homers in the win. Colin Fisher threw three shutout innings with three strikeouts, earning his second win of the year. Arkansas’ 16-1 record matches their best 17-game start in the Dave Van Horn era.
