Arkansas women's hoops owned the third quarter on Sunday.

Good Morning. Arkansas women’s basketball gave us all an important lesson on perseverance yesterday, and a decorated Arkansas track star picked up right where he left off last year. The vibes are sublime this Monday morning.

🎙️ FROM THE VAULT: DRE GREENLAW

Dre Greenlaw has been through more in life than most. As the 2024 Super Bowl approaches - we revisit his incredible story and how football gave him the home he never had.

🏈 MEET KJ JACKSON

KJ Jackson used to play in the trenches. Now he does his best to avoid them. The newest quarterback for Arkansas football grew up wanting to go under center instead of playing next to center, and now he’ll get his chance to do so for the Razorbacks.

This episode of “In Studio with Tera” features Tera Talmadge getting to know KJ Jackson. We'll learn about what it was like growing up in Alabama, and what he brings to the quarterback room.

🎤 COURTSIDE WITH MUSS

Head Coach Eric Musselman and host Chuck Barrett discuss the Hogs’ past road week, in which they went 1-1 in SEC play. The week started with a dominant 91-84 win at Missouri, before falling 95-74 to LSU in Baton Rouge on Saturday. They also look ahead to next Saturday’s game against Georgia in Bud Walton Arena.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Second Half Show. The Arkansas women’s basketball team used a 31-point third quarter and crucial stops on defense at the end of the game to defeat Auburn, 74-72, on the Hogs’ Play4Kay game.

The third period really belonged to Taliah Scott, who tallied 17 of her 33 points in the third quarter alone to help the Hogs outscore the Tigers by 20 points in the period. Taliah’s third 30-point game of the year featured six 3-pointers on 12 attempts and three charges drawn on defense.

With the score tied at 69 with 37 seconds left, Samara Spencer split defenders to get in the paint to convert a three-point play, giving the Razorbacks a lead they wouldn’t surrender. After two free throws from Taliah to close things out, Arkansas advanced to 17-7 on the year with an SEC record of 5-4.

🔺 Eyeing The Top. Kendall Todd of the third-ranked Razorback women’s golf team shot a 1-under 71 in the first round of the Purdue Puerto Rico Classic. Kendall is tied for 12th out of 90 golfers on the individual leaderboard, and is four off the lead. Reagan Zibilski was right behind her with an even par 72 to start the event, and Miriam Ayora celebrated a hole-in-one on hole 16 on her way to a 2-over 74.

🔺 Infield & Out. Arkansas softball outfielder Nia Carter and first baseman Bri Ellis have been named Preseason Second-Team All-Americans by D1Softball. The duo joins Hannah Gammill (2023-Second Team), Chenise Delce (2023-Second Team), Danielle Gibson (2022-Second Team) and Hannah McEwen (2020-Second Team) as the only Arkansas players selected to D1Softball’s Preseason All-America teams.

🔺 Leap (of the) Year. The New Mexico Collegiate Classic witnessed Razorback long jumper Wayne Pinnock starting his 2024 campaign with world-leading victory of 27 feet, 4.5 inches. Wayne improved his previous indoor best by half an inch during Friday’s event in Albuquerque. The previous world best for the 2024 season was 26-9.25 set by Colombia’s Arnovis Dalmero.

On Saturday, Jordan Anthony’s debut with the Razorback track and field team had him finishing third in the 60m final with a time of 6.62, equal No. 3 on the Arkansas all-time list, on the second day of the New Mexico Collegiate Classic.
