📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Outlastin’ Aggies. After holding off a late rally thanks to clutch free throw shooting down the stretch, Arkansas men’s basketball completed a season sweep over Texas A&M with a 78-71 victory. It’s the third time the Razorbacks notched a win over the Aggies in College Station since both teams became a part of the SEC.

Makhi Mitchell stayed hot on the floor with a career-high 22 points fueled by a career-best 10 free throws. Makhi also notched his fifth double-double of the season adding 13 rebounds. The fifth-year senior went 10-for-12 from the free throw line on the night, including sinking a pair with under a minute remaining to push the lead to eight. The Hogs’ free throw shooting put the game on ice over the final 72 seconds with the team’s final nine points coming from the charity stripe.

Arkansas returns home this Saturday morning to face Missouri on ESPN2.

🔺 A Softball Legacy. Greatness runs in DJ Gasso’s blood. The new hitting coach for Arkansas softball grew up the son of seven-time Women's College World Series champion, Patty Gasso. He’s always been immersed in the sport of softball, and after building a reputation as one of the premier hitting coaches in the college ranks, he finds himself on Courtney Deifel's staff in his first season at Arkansas. Hear Gasso’s life story and how he ended up in Fayetteville in the latest episode of the Hog Pod.

🔺 Extra Friendly Confines. 37,310 Arkansas baseball fans turned out for Opening Weekend at Baum-Walker Stadium; an average of 9,328 per game! That average had Arkansas ranked third nationally in average attendance, and only one other school saw more total fans in attendance during the first week of the 2024 season. Click here to learn more fun stats from the Diamond Hogs’ first four games.

🔺 Golden Opportunities. The Arkansas men’s tennis team takes its 7-3 record on the season to Tulsa, OK for a midweek doubleheader today against the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Arkansas is one spot ahead of Tulsa in the national rankings, and their match can be streamed on ESPN+.

🔺 More Than Qualified. Four Razorback track athletes took home SEC weekly honors for their performances at last weekend’s Arkansas Qualifier.
