In this week’s episode of The Hog Pod, we sat down with College Baseball Hall of Famer Norm DeBriyn to look back on the humble beginnings of Arkansas baseball, the moments that changed the program, and a career that helped shape the Razorbacks into a national contender.
📈 STOCK UP
🔺 Cruise Control. The 21st-ranked men’s basketball team beat Mississippi State 88-68 on the road! Darius Acuff Jr. led the Razorbacks with 24 points and eight assists. Trevon Brazile scored an SEC career-high 19 points with eight rebounds. Nick Pringle grabbed a game-high and season-best 11 rebounds. The Hogs will remain on the road as they play at LSU tomorrow.

🔺 Strong Start. Razorback softball started the season 4-1 at the Kickin’ Chicken Classic, scoring a total of 60 runs across five games. Arkansas beat Virginia 17-1 and Akron 9-1 on Friday. On Saturday, the Hogs fell to Virginia 4-2 before beating Coastal Carolina 11-1. They closed the weekend with a 21-3 win over Akron. Ramsey Walker, Ashtyn Reichardt, and Dakota Kennedy hit their first home runs as Razorbacks!
🔺 Upset Season. The No. 10 Gymbacks upset No. 6 Georgia, 197.450-197.050, at Bud Walton Arena on Friday night. Arkansas won on vault, bars, and beam, with individual titles claimed by Lauren Williams (vault), Morgan Price (bars), and Joscelyn Roberson (beam). The Gymbacks also recorded a season-high score of 49.450 on bars.
They went on to take second at the Metroplex Challenge with a season-high 197.700 as they went up against No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 31 Arizona, and No. 55 TWU.

Join Coach Cal and host Chuck Barrett after the No. 21 Razorbacks 88-68 win over Mississippi State in Starkville, Mississippi. Trevon Brazile had an SEC career-high 19 points and 8 rebounds and freshmen Darius Acuff led all scorers with 24 points.
