🔺 A Dozen On The Board. Arkansas women’s basketball wrapped up non-conference play Sunday evening with a 19-point victory, and the Hogs’ first SEC contest is just a day away. Here’s what you need to know about Arkansas’ season thus far:
The Razorbacks enter league play with a 12-3 record and have won their last four games, including two in the West Palm Beach Classic.
Arkansas has held all its opponents to under 60 points during this four-game win streak.
Freshman Taliah Scott remains the team’s leading scorer with a 23.0 points per game average and has been on the floor the most as well with 36.1 minutes per game. She’s won five SEC Freshman of the Week honors in the last six weeks!
Sophomore Saylor Poffenbarger has become the only player in program history to post four 19+ rebound games in a career, and all those games have come from this season alone.
🔺 “They’re All Worth One Game.” That’s how Head Coach Mike Neighbors will start his message to his team as they begin SEC play tomorrow night at Kentucky in historic Rupp Arena. Hear all of Coach Neighbors’ thoughts on the matchup, and starting the grind of SEC play in his latest presser.
🔺 Patriotic Putting. A few Razorback golfers went out to Arizona this past weekend to compete in the 2023 Patriot All America. Reagan Zibilski finished third with a final score of -6, and Kendall Todd came in 11th at -2. Reagan progressively got better as the tournament went on, shooting 70, 68, and then closing out with a 66. Kendall fired off one of the best final round scores with a 64 to boost herself just outside the top 10.
🔺 Beating The Trap. New challenges for Arkansas women’s basketball means a new Drill of the Week from Coach Neighbors! How do the Hogs beat a half-court trap? What in the world do tails and nails have to do with a basketball court? Check out the latest Drill of the Week for all the answers you could possibly imagine.
