📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Sacks & Specialists. The Razorback football team produced three All-SEC honorees with Landon Jackson and Cam Little earning first-team recognition, and Max Fletcher was named a second-team member for the 2023 Coaches’ All-SEC team.

  • Landon is the first Razorback defensive lineman since Jake Bequette in 2011 to be a first-team selection after registering 44 total tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks.

  • Cam was honored as a kickoff specialist after notching 53 touchbacks and a kickoff average of 64.2 yards that’s tied for fifth in the nation.

  • Max booted 59 punts for an SEC-leading 2,770 yards and became the first Razorback punter since Dylan Breeding in 2012 to receive All-SEC recognition.

🔺 On the topic of awards, four Volley Hogs and head coach Jason Watson have been named American Volleyball Coaches Association honorees. All-SEC honorees Jill Gillen, Taylor Head and Hannah Hogue were tabbed All-South Region, and Maggie Cartwright was named All-South Region honorable mention. Coach Watson was named AVCA South Region Coach of the Year for the first time in his Arkansas tenure, and becomes just the second coach to earn the honor in program history.

🔺 Staying Hot. Arkansas women’s basketball star Taliah Scott was recognized as the SEC Freshman of the Week for the third time in four weeks! Taliah averaged 23.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game this past week and played a huge part in Arkansas’ road win over No. 15 Florida State, scoring a game-high 24 points with four rebounds and two assists. The Orange Park, FL native is now one of five Razorbacks in school history to have won more than three weekly SEC Freshman of the Week honors, joining fellow teammates Samara Spencer (four-time honoree in 2021-22) and Saylor Poffenbarger (five-time winner in 2022-23).

🔺 Stand United. Thanks to the nearly 20,000 Razorback fans that attended the Hogs’ 81-77 exhibition victory over Purdue, a grand total of $254,694 was raised to support the Arkansas 211 program of the United Way of NWA. A special ceremony was held during the Arkansas men’s basketball game against Furman at Bud Walton Arena Monday night to present a check to United Way Arkansas 211.
