🏀 THE WEEK THAT WAS

Exciting then, exciting now. It’s been quite the week for the past and present of Arkansas men’s basketball. Let H0gs+ break it down for you.

🏀 “Walk on Air” — the latest short film from Hogs+ — takes you inside Michael Qualls’ iconic game-winning dunk against Kentucky in 2014 and all that transpired afterwards. Watch the film’s trailer here.

🎥 10 years after his unforgettable highlight, Qualls sits down in the Film Room with Matt Zimmerman to roll the tape from all angles on his career-defining buzzer-beating dunk.

🗣️ Tramon Mark's last second shot gave Arkansas its first SEC win of the season on Tuesday. Relive Tramon’s along with the aftermath on the court and inside the locker room.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Juggernaughts Collide. The first road test for the Arkansas gymnastics team is a top five SEC battle as the fourth-ranked Gymbacks will visit the third-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide tonight in Tuscaloosa. It’s the first time Arkansas is ranked in the top five since 2021, and the program’s first top five matchup since 2012.

Alabama has earned its ranking after posting scores over 197 in each of the Tide’s two meets so far. Arkansas hit a mark of 197.150 in its first competition last week, a new program high score for a season opener.

Tonight’s meet will be featured on SEC Network’s Friday Night Heights for the first time this season and will be broadcast live at 6:30pm.

🔺 Back At Billingsley. After sweeping Hawai’i in paradise last week, the Arkansas men’s tennis team returns home to Billingsley Tennis Center for the weekend for a pair of matches to open their home slate. The Hogs won their first seven meets at home last season, and will look to start this season off with wins against Illinois State this afternoon at 12pm, and MTSU on Sunday at the same time.

🔺 Still Sprinting. NCAA 60-meter silver medalist Jordan Anthony, a recent transfer to the Arkansas football program from Texas A&M, will also be part of the Razorback track and field program this season. Jordan raced for the Kentucky track and field team during the 2023 season, collecting silver medals in the 60m at SEC and NCAA Championships while producing a trio of the all-time fastest Under-20 times in the event. Learn more about Jordan’s track record here.

🔺 Even Keeled. Round one of the Latin America Amateur Championship is in the books, and former Arkansas men’s golfer Segundo Oliva Pinto sits at even par, just one shot out from the lead. Segundo, who birdied three of the first five holes at Santa Maria Golf Course in Panama, is behind just three other golfers on the leaderboard. He’s in contention to earn invitations to Masters, the U.S. Open and the Open Championship.

🔺 Staying Right Here. Arkansas men’s basketball completes its two-game homestand tomorrow afternoon by hosting South Carolina. The Hogs are coming off a thrilling last-second victory over Texas A&M in which Tramon Mark scored 35 points and the game-winner. It was also Arkansas’ first SEC win of the conference schedule. The Gamecocks entered league play with a 12-1 record, but have split their first four conference matchups. They’re coming off a five-point defeat by the hands of Georgia on Tuesday.

Tip-off is at Noon and can be watched on SEC Network. Be sure to catch the Wooo Pig Pregame show with Tera Talmadge and Coach Z on HogsPlus.com!
