🔺 Call. Those. Hogs. Arkansas football found the win column again by defeating Florida, 39-36, in overtime. It was the Razorbacks’ first ever win in The Swamp, and it was as exhilarating as it sounded.
In Kenny Guiton’s first game calling plays for the offense, Arkansas had a 100-yard rusher and 100-yard receiver. Rocket Sanders scamped for 103 yards on the ground in his first game back in nearly a month, and Andrew Armstrong hauled in 103 yards through the air, coincidentally enough. The contest went back-and-forth after the Hogs took a 14-0 lead, and Cam Little’s 49-yard field goal with 44 seconds remaining sent it to overtime. Florida scored first in extra time, but KJ Jefferson found Tyrone Broden for the game-winning score in the end zone.

🔺 Home Sweet Home. The eighth-ranked Arkansas volleyball team came home this weekend after a five-match road trip and put together a Sunday sweep vs. Mississippi State, defeating the Bulldogs in front of the Barnhill crowd for the first time in four years. Senior outside hitter Taylor Head led the Razorbacks’ offense on the day with 13 kills and 10 digs, her 15th double-double of the season. Junior setter Hannah Hogue also contributed a double-double with 32 assists and 11 digs, and junior libero Courtney Jackson had a team-high 16 digs and three service aces. The Volley Hogs are now 21-4 on the season, which matches the most wins in a single season for head coach Jason Watson.
🔺 Don’t Cross Her. Three members of the Arkansas women’s tennis team wrapped up play in the Texas A&M Fall Invitational competing in singles play against Texas A&M and Utah. Senior Morgan Cross picked up the only win for the Razorbacks on the day, holding off Utah’s Emma Kamper in three hard-fought sets for her second singles victory of the event.
🔺 Splashing Down. Arkansas swimming and diving swam upstream to Springfield, Missouri and picked up its fourth match win of the season, taking down the Missouri State Bears by a score of 191-109. The Hogs had first-place finishes in 13 events as well as podium sweeps in both diving events. Lauren French took home a win in the 3-meter and Anna Arnautova won the 1-meter. The Hogs finished places one, two, and three in both, and in addition to this, four divers scored their NCAA Zone Cut today. Check out the full results and list of winners here.
🔺 Doing It For Real. The 101st season of Arkansas men’s basketball begins tonight as the 14th-ranked Razorbacks host the two—time defending SWAC champion Alcorn State. Arkansas is 5-0 all time versus Alcorn State, all in Fayetteville, and this will be the second time the Hogs host the Braves for a season opener. Arkansas has won 49 straight home openers dating back to 1974-75, and are fresh off two exhibition victories over UT Tyler and No. 3 Purdue.
Tipoff is set for 7pm and can be streamed on SEC Plus.
