🐗 And so much more!

🎙️ HOG POD: DENIJAY DAVIS

It’s been a long road to the top of college basketball for Denijay Harris. Underrecruited out of high school, Denijay went the JUCO route, but after just two games, a major injury would end his next two seasons of hoops, and it was a struggle just to make it back. He would transfer to Southern Miss, and finally returned to game action in 2020. He would go on to help lead that program to a Sun Belt title last season. Seeking a fresh start, the 6-7 forward entered the transfer portal and landed at Arkansas, where he’s ready to write the next chapter of his comeback story.

🏀 FOR THE CULTURE

Effort, Energy, and Enthusiasm. Under head coach Eric Musselman, the 3 E’s of Arkansas basketball are more than just alliteration. They’re imprinted into the DNA of every player, coach, and staff member. It’s responsible for days like Saturday when the Hogs took down a top-ranked opponent.

Get an insider's look at the Culture of the Razorbacks men's basketball program under Coach Muss.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 All Tuned Up. The 14th-ranked Razorbacks emerged victorious in thrilling fashion over No. 3 Purdue. Arkansas’ second and final preseason exhibition went to overtime thanks to a Tramon Mark 3-pointer with 22 seconds left in regulation to force overtime, and the Hogs defeated the Boilermakers, 81-77, in front of a sold-out crowd at Bud Walton Arena. Tramon finished led five Razorbacks in double figures with 15 points along with Trevon Brazile (15), Chandler Lawson (10), El Ellis (12) and Khalif Battle (12).

The win may not count towards the regular season, but proceeds from the contest will go to Arkansas 211, part of the United Way, and benefit those affected by tornadoes in Arkansas this past spring.

A total win-win as the Hogs are now ready to kick the season off one week from today.

🔺 Sunshine State Statement. Two cities, two matches, one set lost. Arkansas volleyball’s road trip started off on the right foot this weekend as the 10th-ranked Volley Hogs took down South Carolina, 3-1, in Columbia Friday night, and swept No. 19 Florida, 3-0, in Gainesville Sunday afternoon. The win over Florida was Arkansas’ first-ever in the Swamp, and head coach Jason Watson’s first against Florida, which calls for a locker room celebration. The Hogs have moved to 20-3 overall and are 10-1 SEC play, their best 11-match start to conference competition since 2003.

🔺 Back On Top. The SEC Championships once again belong to the Razorback men’s cross country team. Eighth-ranked Arkansas claimed its 28th cross country title to kick the weekend off, beating out defending champion Alabama by 19 points, for the 30th overall SEC Championship for Razorback men’s head coach Chris Bucknam.

🔺 What Say You, Coach? Season five of Eric Musselman Live is back on the air beginning tonight at Sassy’s Red House on College Avenue. The show will be broadcast live from 7-8pm across the Learfield Razorback Sports Network. Click here to view the full 12-episode schedule.

🔺 Star-Studded Squad. On top of clinching the SEC regular season championship, Arkansas soccer had multiple Hogs win SEC awards:

  • Colby Hale – SEC Coach of the Year

  • Ava Tankersley – SEC Forward of the Year, All-SEC First Team

  • Bea Franklin – SEC Midfielder of the Year, Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year, All-SEC First Team

  • Anna Podojil – All-SEC Second Team

  • Ellie Podojil – All-SEC Second Team
