🔺 Ace In The Hole. Day one of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational was highlighted by Manuel Lozada’s hole in one on the par 3 13th hole at Blessings Golf Club. The ace was Manuel’s fifth of his career and helped him post a three-under 69 as a part of the Arkansas A team that has a nine-stroke lead after the first 18 holes. John Driscoll III fired a 4-under 68 and leads the entire men’s field.

The Arkansas women’s golf team finished Monday as the only team under par at 3-under, leading by four strokes over Mississippi State. Between the Arkansas A and B teams, five Hogs are in the top five led by Maria José Marin with a 5-under 67 and Ela Anacona in second with a 4-under 68.

🔺 Floor Plans. The Razorback gymnastics team returns to action in January and the full slate of meets for the 2024 season has been released. Arkansas will have 11 regular season meets, and five at home. The Razorbacks will both open and close the season in Fayetteville, with the debut meet on Friday, Jan. 12 against Georgia and the finale on Friday, March 15 against Nebraska. Fayetteville will also play host to the 2024 NCAA Regionals the following month for the first time since 2017. Click here to see the Gymbacks’ full schedule.

🔺 Jill Gillen doesn’t lack confidence. The senior volleyball standout thrives on people telling her what she can’t do and proving them wrong. She’s one of the best players in Razorback volleyball history, and has helped turn around a program that was once an afterthought. In this episode of the Hog Pod, we discover how people doubting her abilities fueled Jill to become the best version of herself and help put Arkansas volleyball on the map.

🔺 Lucky Number. Arkansas volleyball has risen to 13th in the newest AVCA poll, which matches the highest coaches poll rank in program history, last seen in 1998! The Razorbacks have won 11-straight matches and take the court next tomorrow evening against LSU in Baton Rouge.
