🔺 Feelin’ Patriotic. The 14th-ranked Arkansas men’s basketball team will see its first action in Bud Walton Arena tonight in hosting the UT Tyler Patriots in an exhibition. This will be the first meeting between the two programs as the Razorbacks look to go 72-10 all-time in exhibition games. Tip-off is at 6:30pm, and you can still purchase single game tickets here.
🔺 Road Less Traveled. The Volley Hogs, now a top-10 team for the first time in program history, begin their first long road streak of the SEC season tonight with a match against Tennessee, the second-ranked SEC team behind Arkansas. The Razorbacks will stay traveling on Sunday for a match against Kentucky, giving them back-to-back ranked contests for the first time since late August. Tonight’s match in Knoxville is set for 5:30pm and will be streamed on SEC Network Plus. Click here for full previews of both matches.
🔺 Friends & Foes. Day two of the ITA Central Region Championships saw three Razorbacks advance to the Round of 16 and two doubles pairs clinch spots in the Quarterfinals. Junior Jake Sweeney and seniors Alan Sau Franco and Melvin Manuel impressed in their wins Thursday, and the latter two will face off in today’s action, but they will be teammates once more in doubles play as one of the pairs to advance. The duo of Jake and freshman Connor Smillie also look to advance to the semis in doubles play.
🔺 Battled Back. Down 1-0 with just seven minutes remaining, the ninth-ranked Arkansas soccer team got a clutch goal from Bea Franklin to tie LSU and earn another point in SEC play with a 1-1 draw on the road. Bea’s sixth goal of the season boosted the Razorbacks to 19 points in league play, which remains atop all other conference foes.
With a win against Ole Miss on Sunday, the Hogs will clinch a share of the SEC regular season title. Click here to learn how you can bring your furry friend for Arkansas’ annual Pups at the Pitch.
