Good morning. There are 12 SEC volleyball teams outside of Arkansas, and the Razorbacks are on top of all of them right now. We’ll recap another successful weekend for the Volley Hogs and all things Arkansas from the past few days.

🎙️ HOG POD: EL ELLIS

El Ellis has as much ambition as he does talent. From starting at the JuCo level, to experiencing individual success at Louisville, he transferred to Arkansas this year to gain valuable experience in leading a winning program at a high level. El has seen it all, and he’s ready to elevate the Hogs in his final year of eligibility.

In the first of a six-part series introducing you to the Razorback basketball transfers, Bo Mattingly sits down with El Ellis.

🏈 HEAR FROM THE HEAD HOG

Sam Pittman talks with host Chuck Barrett about the Hogs hard fought 24-21 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide, from Bryant-Denny Stadium. 🔺 Still Spotless. The 12th-ranked Volley Hogs experienced zero bad luck on Friday the 13th as they swept Ole Miss in straight sets. Graduate outsider hitter Maggie Cartwright had a team-high 14 kills along with five service aces, a new career high, in Arkansas’ 14th consecutive victory.

The Razorbacks extended their win streak to 15 games by taking down Alabama, 3-1, Sunday evening. Arkansas is now 17-2 and 7-0 in the SEC, the only undefeated team left in the conference. Senior Taylor Head also recorded a team-high 18 kills and now has the ninth-most career kills in program history.

🔺 Furry Friends Welcome. Pups at the Pitch will return to Razorback Field on Sunday, October 22 when Arkansas soccer takes on Ole Miss. Pups at the Pitch provides fans an opportunity to bring their dog to the match. Click here to learn more and fill out your pet’s application!

🔺 Running In The Rain. Sophomore Ben Shearer of Arkansas cross country took first place at the rainy Virginia Pre-Nationals, winning the 8,000m race in a time of 22:55 as No. 21 Arkansas claimed the team title with 35 points. Razorbacks finishing behind Ben among the top 10 in the field included the trio of Kirami Yego, Patrick Kiprop, and Jacob McLeod as they placed 3-5-6.

Freshman Paityn Noe led the 19th-ranked women’s team with a third place finish in her first race over 6,000 meters. She finished as the top freshman in the field, and moved up from 12th place to fourth following her 2k split. The Razorbacks ended up as runner ups to No. 6 BYU.
