🔺 Gaek Is Back. Razorback pitcher Gabe Gaeckle has been named Preseason SEC Pitcher of the Year by Baseball America! He was a unanimous first-team Freshman All-American last season after posting a 2.32 ERA through 22 relief appearances.

🔺 History In The Making. The track & field teams hosted the Arkansas Invitational over the weekend! Women’s runner Sanu Jallow-Lockhart ran the second-fastest 600m time in collegiate history with a 1:25.37 time, placing her second in the event. Arkansas alum Shafiqua Maloney won the event. Former Razorback soccer player Anna Podojil made her track debut, finishing fifth in the 600m. On the men’s side, Reuben Reina equaled the oldest UofA record with a 3:55.40 in the mile. Niall O’Shaughnessy set the record in 1977.

🔺 Showing Improvement. The Razorback gymnastics squad made improvements from their first week of competition! They fell to Auburn 196.700-196.250 in their first SEC dual meet. They improved their score by 0.375 from the week prior. Joscelyn Roberson won two event titles on beam and floor. She and Frankie Price shared the floor title as they both scored 9.850. The Gymbacks will host a tri-meet with Denver and Texas Woman’s today at 1:45 p.m.

🔺 Courtside With Cal. Join Coach Cal and Chuck Barrett, from Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri after the Hogs’ tough 83-65 loss to the Missouri Tigers on Saturday. They break down the game that saw Zvonimir Ivisic pull down a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Catch the highlights from both the Mizzou game and the down-to-the-wire 78-74 loss at LSU.
