🔺 Battle In The Boot. The men’s basketball team is on the road in Baton Rouge for an 8 p.m. matchup at LSU tonight on SEC Network. Both teams are searching for their first SEC win after starting conference play 0-3. These two teams are pretty familiar with each other as the Tigers are Arkansas’ most common opponent since joining the SEC with 70 meetings. The Razorbacks have won five of the last seven meetings between the two.

🔺 Defended Her Crown. Razorback women’s golfer Maria José Marin won the South American Amateur for the second-straight year! Representing her home country of Colombia, she shot 17-under in the four-day event in Chile. She finished 12 strokes ahead of the runner-up and finished each round under par.

🔺 Preseason Praise. Razorback softball season is right around the corner, which means it’s time for preseason polls and player rankings. Arkansas came in at No. 13 in Softball America’s Preseason Top 25 Poll! Arkansas is one of 10 SEC programs to earn a spot in the poll, the most by any conference. The Razorbacks earn a top-15 preseason ranking by Softball America for the fourth-straight year.

Four Razorbacks landed on D1 Softball’s D100 Player Rankings! First baseman Bri Ellis checks in at No. 37 after hitting a career-best .322 and leading the Bogle Bombers with 14 home runs, 36 runs scored, and 47 RBI. Utility player Kailey Wyckoff was ranked 43rd ahead of her first season at Arkansas. She earned First-Team All-Big 12 honors at Texas Tech last season. Speedy center fielder Reagan Johnson came in at No. 61. She’s the all-time program leader in career batting average at .379. Catcher Kennedy Miller is right behind her at No. 62. She had an impressive freshman year that earned D1 Softball and Softball America Freshman All-America honors.

🔺 Getting Stronger. Razorback football announced the addition of tight end Rohan Jones! The Quebec, Canada native transfers to Arkansas from Montana State, where he was named First-Team FCS Football Central All-American, Second-Team Stats FCS Perform All-American, and First-Team All-Big Sky. He hauled in 30 receptions for 470 yards and nine touchdowns. He and Montana State played in the FCS National Championship game this month.
