Razorback Brew 3/30: Do You Believe In Fairy Tales?

Today, we're going back to the 1998 Women's Final Four.

Good morning. Tonight's the night! The premiere of the Hogs+ documentary "Do You Believe In Fairytales?" goes live on HogsPlus.com at 8PM CT for everyone to watch for FREE. Learn the complete story of the 1997-1998 Arkansas Womenโ€™s Basketball Teamโ€™s improbable journey to the Final Four as a 9-seed โ€“ still the lowest seed to ever reach the final weekend of the NCAA Tournament.

Now, what's all been mixed in today's Brew?

๐ŸŽฅย BEHIND THE SCENES

Down...set...action! The Razorbacks are gearing up for another season on The Hill, and we've got just the thing for your pigskin itch.

Tera Talmadge hosts the first edition of Hogs+ Live: Spring Football to get an in-depth look at the new culture being built on the defensive side of the ball. Hear from Sam Pittman, Travis Williams, Marcus Woodson, Cam Ball and several other players. Hogs+ Senior Contributor Clay Henry also joined the show to answer fan questions.

โšพ TALKING WITH MATT HOBBS

So far, so great. Arkansas baseball got a fantastic debut performance out of Ben McLaughlin this week, and pitching coach Matt Hobbs can tell you exactly why.

Listen to Clay Henry chatting with Hobbs to get his thoughts on Ben's debut, the LSU series, and Brady Tygart's recovery.

๐Ÿ“ˆย STOCK UP

๐Ÿ”บ Regional Warriors.ย The Gymbacks have posted program-best scores in back-to-back years at NCAA regionals, and they'll look to keep it going today for their 19th consecutive appearance.

Arkansas' region isn't for the faint of heart. The Norman region consists of the Hogs, NC State, No. 16 Ohio State, and No. 1 Oklahoma,

All sessions of regional action will stream live on ESPN+, and the festivities begin at 6:45pm.

๐Ÿ”บ Showing Off. Arkansas linebacker Drew Sanders performed for most of the NFL at Arkansas' pro day Wednesday and checked all the boxes. His 40-yard dash times were reportedly between 4.55-4.59, and jumped a whopping 37" on the vertical. Drew is Mel Kiper Jr.'s No. 1 linebacker in this year's NFL Draft class.

๐Ÿ”บ Money Downs. Aggression stems from preparation. If Arkansas football wants to be more successful on third and fourth down, practicing it now can only help. That's why head coach Sam Pittman has been implementing these situations in Spring practice this year.

Hear everything else Coach Pittman discussed about Spring ball here.ย

๐Ÿ”บ Clean Work. There were no blemishes on Maria Josรฉ Marin's opening round scorecard at The Augusta National Womenโ€™s Amateur. The future Arkansas women's golfer posted a one-under-par 71 with one birdie on hole 11, and she's T-7th out of a talented field of 72 golfers. She's one of 12 to finish under par for the day heading into the second round.

๐Ÿ”บ Splitting Forces. Arkansas women's track and field is dividing and conquering this week with athletes at the Texas Relays, and the Stanford Invitational.

The action picks up today in Austin, TX as Macy Owens will partake in the Heptathlon as one of just two freshmen in the field. Later on in the afternoon, Mackenzie Hayward and Bailee McCorkle will compete in the pole vault, and Britton Wilson and Madison Langley-Walker will take on the 400m hurdles.

ย ๐ŸŽง RAZORBACK DAILY
