🔺 All-American Hogs. Last week, Hagen Smith and Peyton Stovall earned ABCA/Rawlings All-Region honors. Now, they’ve been named ABCA/Rawlings All-Americans. This is Hagen’s third first-team All-America honor from the group. Peyton was named third-team at second base to become the 34th All-American in program history.

Peyton Stovall will join Kendall Diggs, Mason Molina, Brady Tygart, and Hudson White at the 2024 MLB Draft Combine in Arizona this week.

🔺 Going Pro. Former Razorback Jake Bates has been a constant highlight in the UFL. He has caught the eyes of NFL scouts and has signed a two-year contract with the Detroit Lions! He drilled 64- and 62-yard field goals during his UFL season with the Michigan Panthers. The NFL record is 66-yards. He was a kickoff specialist in college.

🔺 Hall Of Fame Hog. The Director of Strength and Conditioning for the Razorback track & field teams earns a big-time honor! Mat Clark has been selected to the Northern Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame Induction class of 2024. He’ll be honored with the Merlin Taylor Academic Award. He spent four years at UNI from 2006-09, where he was a seven-time All-MVC Team selection.

🔺 Best In The South. Women’s track & field sprinter Nickisha Pryce was named South Central Region Track Athlete of the Year! She won the NCAA 400m title with a collegiate and Jamaican record of 48.89. Beside her was first-year head coach Chris Johnson as Coach of the Year. The Razorbacks completed a sweep of NCAA Indoor and Outdoor team championships in his first year.
