Win this pitch. Entering SEC play, the Diamond Hogs are batting an impressive .309 at the plate. Maintaining that average against top-tier pitching, in hitting coach Nate Thompson's words, will be accomplished by taking it one inning, at-bat, and pitch at a time.

Hogs+ senior contributor Clay Henry visits with Thompson to chat about the team's start to the year and more as Arkansas prepares to face top-ranked LSU this weekend.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Titanic Battle. If it seems like it's been forever since Arkansas baseball has played on the road, you'd be correct. Today marks 34 days since the Diamond Hogs' last away game, and they're breaking the stretch with an elite opponent in No. 1 LSU.

The Tigers are the top-ranked college team no matter what poll you browse. They sport the same 19-2 record Arkansas has at the moment and will have ace Paul Skenes on the mound for the series opener, who is a perfect 5-0 on the year with a 0.59 ERA. He'll duel with Arkansas southpaw Hunter Hollan, who is also an undefeated 4-0 with an ERA of 2.36.

First pitch today has been moved up to 12pm due to inclement weather later this afternoon. Catch it on SEC Network Plus.

🔼 Weekend At Bogle. No. 17 Arkansas softball is coming off their first-ever series win over Alabama and will look to sustain their momentum against No. 10 Florida in a return to Bogle Park this weekend. It's the Hogs' first home series in five years against the Gators, who are looking for revenge after they were swept by Courtney Deifel's squad in 2022.

Speaking of the skipper, the first 500 fans at Bogle Park today will receive a Coach Deifel bobblehead. Tomorrow's game will feature post-game fireworks and is to be a “red out.” And if you're headed to Bogle on Sunday, bring the pup for “Bark in the Park” is back for Sunday’s series finale – all pets get in free in the Berm.

🔼 Traditions Lasting. The women’s golf regular season for Arkansas concludes this weekend at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, taking place at the University of Georgia Golf Course. The Razorbacks are far from strangers at the event with this being their 27th appearance. They will be joined by 10 top-50 programs in the field.

Arkansas will hit the links starting today through Sunday for three rounds of play.

🔼 Crowded At The Top. A title at the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships helped Jaydon Hibbert and Carey McLeod join Ayden Owens-Delerme on the newest 2023 Bowerman watch list. Jaydon set the new collegiate record on his first and only attempt in the triple jump at the NCAA's, while Carey made his mark with a victory in the long jump.

This marks the first time the Arkansas men have had three athletes among the top 10 on a single iteration. Click here to view everything the trio has accomplished this year.
