🎙️ HOG POD: JULIAN PERICO

The J may be silent, but Julian Perico’s game is anything but. The senior for Arkansas men’s golf, also known as “Juli,” is having another great season for the Razorbacks. And the list of people he doesn’t know is much smaller than the list of his friends.

In this episode of the Hog Pod, learn how Julian became known as the "Mayor of College Golf" with Hogs+ senior contributor Clay Henry.

⚾️ SWATTERS CLUB

Sit down with Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn as he speaks during the final meeting of this season's Swatters Club. Hear how the Razorbacks are looking as they prepare to finish the 2023 season, as well as injury updates on key players like Brady Tygart, Tavian Josenberger, and Peyton Stovall.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Shut ’Em Out. Two pitchers, two runs scored, and zero runs allowed. All the ingredients required for a 2-0 shutout series-clinching win for No. 12 Arkansas. The Razorbacks notched their first three game series victory vs. a top-three ranked team by taking two of three against No. 3 Tennessee.

Freshman Hannah Camenzind and redshirt senior Chenise Delce combined for the shutout, as the former tossed 5 2/3 scoreless innings, and the latter finished off the final 1 1/3 frames in perfect fashion.

Arkansas moves to 37-14 overall and 13-8 in SEC play with the win. Their final regular season series at Missouri kicks off Friday night.

🔺 The Dream Continues. Along with third-round picks Drew Sanders and Ricky Stromberg, several other Razorbacks found their NFL homes after this weekend’s NFL Draft. Here’s an updated list of where Arkansas football alums landed over the weekend in undrafted free agency:

  • WR Matt Landers - Seattle Seahawks

  • WR Jadon Haselwood - Philadelphia Eagles

  • OT Dalton Wagner - Las Vegas Raiders

  • LB Bumper Pool - Carolina Panthers

  • K Jake Bates - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

🔺 Doing Us Proud. Three Arkansas track and field alums saw success over the weekend in their respective events. Taliyah Brooks posted a career-best and world-leading score of 6,330 points in the Multistars heptathlon, winning by over 150 points after the seven events. Meanwhile, at the Botswana Golden Grand Prix, alums LaQuan Nairn and Jarrion Lawson placed third and fourth in the long jump. It was Lawson’s first time competing since suffering a season-ending injury in May of last year. Fellow former Razorback Kiara Parker placed third in the 100m with her fastest season opening time of 11.16.

🔺 On Sale Now. Arkansas soccer and volleyball return in August, and season ticket sales for both teams are now open. Click here learn how you can get in on the action this fall!

🔺 Eyes On The Ball. No one had more success at the plate last week than Jace Bohrofen. The junior from OKC helped the Diamond Hogs sweep Texas A&M for the first time since 2018. During the series, Jace was 8-for-12, belted three extra-base hits that got his slugging percentage up to .714, and drove in five runs.

Jace and the No. 6 Razorbacks are playing their final midweek game of the season in North Little Rock. It’s the Hogs’ 12th-ever game in Dickey-Stephens Park. While you wait for tonight’s first pitch against Lipscomb at 6pm, catch up on some all-access content from the weekend on HogsPlus.com.
